Avoid this "world"
Love not the world, neither
the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love
of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15
What "the World" refers to is
the ungodly and sinful things, anything that is bad, unholy,
dirty...THAT WHICH KEEPS YOU AWAY FROM GOD, even if you do not
participate, but just watching (such as degrading movies or/and
gut-wrenching music).
This can be compared with eating "rotten"
food which will make you sick. Also in the spirit the sinful things
you participate in or keep on watching, effects your soul and your
life... because you are contaminating yourself by what God tells you
is not pleasing unto Him.
The world, especially now, is under the
curse of sin. This is the world we are NOT supposed to love. You will
get your "garment" pretty dirty if you lay down in the mud.
In the first place, the above weakens
your walk with God... you will be losing touch with the Lord... your
prayers cannot be answered... because there is this BLOCKAGE of
WORLDLINESS and SIN between you and THE FATHER.
Be HOLY for I am HOLY, says the Lord!
This does not mean being PERFECT, but rather to stay away from deliberate sinning.
Watch what you have on your Facebook,
the sites you marked "LIKE", and the "friends" you chum with.
Check out with whom you associate. How
you dress yourself, or flirt around!
Remember, you cannot meet Christ in the clouds with the "weight" of worldliness on your shoulders, nor with the "dirt" of this world clinging unto your garment.
LET GO or that "dirt" will keep you down, and will cling unto those who have not departed with it.
The things of this world cannot enter heaven, but will stay behind.
Well, you may say: "I ask the Lord for
forgiveness each night" ... that may well be, but that does not
give you a "license" to keep on doing that which is not pleasing
unto the Father.
Ask yourself if Jesus can go, visit,
watch... or do whatever you do or say. If NOT, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and get rid of whatever is wrong, if you desire to meet Jesus in the clouds when He
returns to meet His "BRIDE".
In the Parable of the Ten Virgins, the five virgins had their lamps filled with oil and were able to enter the wedding feast, but the five foolish virgins had NO oil in their lamps, they came too late at the door and said: "Lord, Lord open to us." The Bridegroom said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, I don't know you."
"Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."Matthew 15:1-13.
Romans 8:1-8 There is therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk NOT after
the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in
Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in
that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the
likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law
might be fulfilled in us, who walk NOT after the flesh, BUT after the
Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do
mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the
things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death;
but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity
against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed
can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh
CANNOT please God.
May the Word of God cause you to
consider your walk with the Lord, to make changes if needed, and to
follow Christ wherever He leads you.
I pray that Jesus will be able to say
to you: "Well done, good and faithful servant. Come in."
Blessings to you of the Most High.
AMEN!
