The Love of God

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9

Just read this again and allow it to sink in. Jesus tasted hell, facing Satan and did set the captives free. He conquered hell (eternal death) so we, who believe in Him, do not have to go there.
By FAITH we have accepted His Sacrifice.
We may celebrate this "event" daily. AMEN!

I am getting so moved in my heart by what Jesus all did for us, while He offered Himself to save our soul. I know this already for the past 58 years and it is still NEW in my heart and soul. It makes me weep that Jesus went through this hellish walk just for me... and of course for you.
Who are we anyway, I wonder, that the Father longed so much to have fellowship with us and thereby did sacrifice His Son.

I can only sigh and say, Oh God, Oh God how good and merciful are You is beyond me.
Thank You Lord... I don't deserve this, but You did it anyway... I come short of words to thank You.

I appreciate what Brother Bensam wrote me: “For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.
It’s mind-boggling to grasp that Jesus left His Father in heaven and took birth on earth, then to die by crucifixion. I can hardly comprehend a love that cost so much.

What kind of LOVE IS THIS? GOD'S LOVE!

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
 It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.

When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Verse 3 was penciled on the wall of a narrow room in an American insane asylum by a man said to have been demented. The profound lines were discovered when they laid him in his coffin.

In God's eyes this man was His beloved child, although he was classified as demented by humans... This sounds very familiar to me. God has chosen that what is rejected by man.

Jesus says: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3

PRAISE YOU JESUS!

For the glory of God.
