God's way

Proverbs 4:4... Let your heart hold fast My words; keep My commandments and live.

Psalm 130:1... Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, O Lord.

Through disobedience unto the Lord the prophet Jonah landed in the belly of a great fish, after he was thrown overboard during a storm at sea. This may not have been the nicest "class room" for Jonah, but I imagine he learned a lot in those three days.

It was dark and slimy down below and God was using this somehow unusual situation to bring Jonah in a condition where he was totally surrendered to God in order to present God's message to the people of Nineveh; bringing them to repentance.

*You may ask, why did God allow Jonah to go through such an extreme experience?

*And why did God allow Daniel to stay overnight with those hungry lions?

*Why was Joseph mistreated by his brothers, was sold... and later ended up in jail  for many years, while God knew he was innocent?

*Why did David had to face the giant Goliath to take the challenge to put the  blasphemer down?

*Why was Moses put in front of a very difficult situation, standing before the  waters of the Red Sea while the Egyptians were chasing the people of God?

Neither Jonah, Daniel, Joseph, David or Moses knew the outcome. They were put to the task, as so many others have been brought to the "edge", including myself.

God, the Father knows of what making we are, and if He sees any potential in those who deeply love Him, He will train them, teach them and mold them in order to bring them to a "greater height" in Him, for His glory, the benefit of others and for the furtherance of His Kingdom.

John 15:7... If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

If we are willing to take the "risk" to apply God's word to our life, and learn from the scriptures that God will NOT forsake us, even if we end up in the fiery furnace, then God will glorify His own name through us and save others at the same time.

God has a great purpose with our life, if we see this or not, but ONLY when we trust Him without a doubt will we experience the mighty works of God.
Praise His awesome name for ever and ever!

Do not fear, my beloved. God's word is firm, no doubt about it.
He has never failed and He will never fail.

Learn from others, and of those in God's word, that FAITH moves mountains and FAITH shuts the mouths of lions. Walk in that Biblical FAITH, which will never fail you, but will glorify the Father.

Isaiah 43:2... When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Glory to His name. Let we magnify Him. AMEN!

Be blessed and strengthened in the name of the Lord.

Greetings, Dr. Trudy ~~

Dr. Neal Carlson, here

We have not been in contact this way for years - but thanks for your words.

Your words are good!

I read in Streams in the Desert a few days ago, about trials, etc,,"The furnace is hot, but we can not only trust the hand that kindles it but we have the assurance that the fires are lighted NOT to consume, but to refine - - and when the refining process is completed - no sooner or later - He brings His people forth as gold."

I lost my dear wife of 53 1/2 years ago last August. I don't weep for her, because she WON.
I weep for my missing her. The night she died, she went to bed with me, but woke up in Paradise.
How cool is that!

Your work touches many.

Blessings and Enjoy Jesus
Neal
