The Redeemer.

There is a Redeemer.

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for He hath visited and redeemed His people, and hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David; Luke 1:68,69

From the very beginning mankind failed His Creator, which in turn caused an unbridgeable gap between man and God. The human race was abruptly cut off of the love, care and protection of the Lord. Never could we undo the fatal error of sin. Mankind was doomed.

But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Psalm 86:15

A "helper" was needed who would bring restoration and close the gaping wound. Thus, the Redeemer, Jesus Christ was sent down to earth. He was born fully man and fully God, so He could reach at the human level and connect us with God.

Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: Galatians 1:4

The coming of Christ to this world; His Birth in the flesh, is just the beginning of His salvation plan for the human race. Jesus came for the whole man; body, soul and spirit. Redemption involves the restoration of everything which was lost by sin; all of creation. The human race needed to be bought back and given to his original owner... God, the Creator.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Titus 2:13-14

Mankind's soul needed to be redeemed, and eventually the body to be redeemed at the time of resurrection. This was accomplished through the shed Blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He paid our debt by His suffering on the cross of Calvary and His sacrificial death. He poured out His soul unto death.

The LORD redeemeth the soul of His servants: and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate. Psalm 34:22
A ransom was paid to release us from bondage to sin and from the curse of the Law. God prepared a Redemption Plan to free us from slavery, captivity and eternal death. Hallelujah!
God, the Creator is also the Re-creator.

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Psalm 103:4.

We are yet awaiting the redemption of our body, which is the crowning piece of His Redemptive work.
We still live in an imperfect world, where satan is ruling as the prince. Satan has a large arsenal to attack the human body, soul and mind. He is raging war against all of God's creation. We just have to look around us and read the Newspapers to see the global damage done.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:22,23.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8b
Jesus Christ came as a Lamb to be slaughtered for our Redemption, but He will return in Triumph, as the Lion of Judah. He will come back for His Bride, which is at the Resurrection of the Saints. Our bodies will then be glorified, as His body is. The Redemption will be complete.

The crown of thorns have become a crown of Glory.

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Revelation 5:9

May you be encouraged and strengthened to carry on, I pray. May our Lord enable you to look far beyond that which your natural eyes perceive. This life is just a stepping stone. To them that endure until the end, incomprehensible glory is awaiting.

All flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isaiah 49:26b

This is a time to worship our God and Redeemer, with a fully surrendered heart. Focus on Him alone. Let go of all your worries and the cares of this world, because it will hold you down at the time when Jesus is calling you to come up.
