Join the Sinners?

Should we join the sinners, to save them?

Fight Sin!

So, you think as a Christian you should go out and get on the same level with the sinners, show your sympathy by just having a beer with them and preach the gospel. Hmm...hmm...

What about if they are drinking some more beer or stronger drinks are you going right along and join them? You have started your first a few more wouldn't hurt. Is that what you are thinking?

Do you have to get drunk in order to save a drunkard? Or defile yourself with sexual lusts in order to get a fornicator saved? Boy...Oh boy. You better start studying your Bible. People, so called Christians, who live that kind of a life style have found an excuse to live in sin themselves.

2 Corinthians 7:1... having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from ALL filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

1 Peter 1:15,16... But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in ALL manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Why do you think the apostle Paul warned the congregations to stay away from sin and wickedness?? Because he knew that Christians who sin continuously will eventually lose their salvation. Living in sin (is continuous) is a lot different than falling into sin due to temptation (that is mostly accidentle, but not wanting to sin). In the last instance we will receive forgiveness if we ask.

Living in sin is when you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you have to repent and then receive forgiveness and turn away from your wicked ways. When a Christian lives continuously in sin, he/she steps outside "Grace" and becomes again a sinner and therefore a loser.

If you play with sin as some are doing, you are playing with fire and will get burned. You cannot please God that way. God does not want us to sin to save others, as a matter of fact nobody will get saved, although it may look like it. You only make people think that you are approving of their sins by participating and being a bad example. Because they think that it is okay for a Christian to do so.

This whole idea is an abomination to God, and Jesus Christ is not glorified but put to shame. Christians have to stay away from this edge.

Jesus says in Matthew 12: 33... Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad: for a tree is known by its fruit.

Matthew 5:16... Let your light shine before men, that they may see your GOOD works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 7:22-23... Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demoms in Your Name, and done many wonders in Your Name? And than I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.

Romans 8. 5 – 7... (NIV) Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

In order to please the Lord you have to obey His Word, walk in His ways and have Faith. Then sinners around you will see that you are different, that you've got something "Special." They may wonder what it is, and the next thing you know, they may ask you: "What is it that makes you different from the rest"?

Ah ah... Now comes your opportunity to introduce them to the Saviour Jesus Christ. Yes, now the Lord is smiling over you, and He will say: "Well done, my Child."

When you're young, the challenge life may bring,
seems to be exciting, for one thing:
You'll meet new people and go places,
you're running short on time and phrases.
For all the things, you see and hear,
are so prominent for eye and ear.

But when you're older, you'll take a different view,
at the fun you did have and foolishness you did do.
The episodes mankind goes through,
suppose to teach us something new:
that when time goes by, all those things will pass away,
and only what has been done for Jesus, will stay.
